Copper has better electrical conductivity but is significantly heavier, which can increase the overall weight of the voice coil.

Aluminum wire is much lighter than copper, which reduces the coil's weight, but it has lower conductivity compared to others (to achieve the same resistance as copper coils, a thicker wire is required, which increases the outer diameter).

Copper-clad aluminum is lighter than copper, retaining aluminum's weight reduction benefits, and the copper coating improves conductivity compared to pure aluminum.

Temperature index (class) – the value at which the wire can operate at a constant temperature without losing its performance properties.

Thermal shock temperature – this parameter indicates the material's resistance to short-term exposure to high temperatures without insulation breakdown.

Insulation thermoplasticity temperature – the temperature at which the insulation begins to soften and lose its shape.

Round - standard winding in which the turns of the layer are located in the gaps between the turns of the previous layer. Due to the round shape of the wire, the filling factor is lower than that of a rectangular wire.

Rectangular - using a rectangular wire allows you to reduce the outer diameter of the coil, as well as reduce resistance in comparison with a round wire. The filling factor is the highest, but the coils are significantly more expensive than those made of round wire.
